American-Japanese You Tachibana is a bright-eyed young man with an interest in the paranormal. Deciding to write his thesis on youkai, supernatural monsters and spirits of Japanese folklore, You pays a visit to Niijigoku City, the leading hotspot for youkai-sightings.

After arriving in Niijigoku, You quickly discovers that not only do youkai exist, but they're also dangerous! Joined by the quick-to-anger Kii Ibarra, an oni hairdresser with a robotic arm, and her best friend, the shy mind-reading satori Rie Satou, You is thrust into a deadly battle between good and evil where it's every youkai for themselves!

Blending unoriginal supernatural elements with overused science-fiction tropes, YOUKAI MOKUSHI is a story that is (hopefully) unalike any other!
