The End had come.

Black Lucifer, The Devil King, had unleashed his armies upon the world. 

The world's strongest and best had fallen. 

Only New Zealand remained as yet untouched, and a massive defensive war was being waged in Australia, humanity's final defensive frontier. 

Arland Bower, a highly trained special forces assassin, died after successfully sniping a Blood Daemon General. He was ripped to pieces by maddened Blood Daemon Captains nearby.

However, after a few seconds of sheer agony, he opened his eyes to a scene of unbelievable beauty.

He was lying on a green pasture, surrounded by picturesque streams, lakes and mountains. In the distance, he could make out shining gates of pearl with pavements of gold leading into and away from them.

"Huh? Am I in heaven?" He gasped in relief at the complete absence of pain and in surprise at the sudden change in his surroundings.

Unexpectedly, a soft but melodious voice rang out from behind him.

"Yes, you are."
