What happens when you become the very thing you loathe the most?

Having an older sister who's not only always in the spotlight, but a werewolf as well, isn't always a good thing for teenager Maya Mirkenson−especially when being followed by cameras unknowingly paints a target on Maya's back when a group of shifters settle for her because they can't get their hands on her sister, a fledgling alpha.

When Maya is attacked by a wolf shifter and lives, she becomes one of the monsters that she has grown to hate.  Now she's got a new set of problems that are far greater than trying to figure out what dress to wear to the prom.  

When a loss of emotion triggers a shift that almost gets her twin sister Malia killed, their mother decides she needs to spend some time with her older sister, to learn how to control the new animal half of her soul.  Bye-bye prom committee, art club, and evenings at the mall with her friends.
