Vashti was a sixteen year old undergraduate who died in a ghastly motor accident on her way from her grandfather's burial.

 She has been traveling with her best friend and uncle who was driving them back to school. 

After the accident, her family informed Akila her best friend that she would have to perform some ritual as it was the spirit of Vashti’s late grandfather who had claimed his two favorite people; his Favorite granddaughter vashti and his favorite son Uncle Darious. 

Akila was confronted with the pain of losing her best friend and the fear and confusion of the revelation of Vashti’s family. 

While at the hospital the doctor revealed that Vashti passed on pregnant. This came as a complete shock to Akila because she and Vashti had signed a pack to be virgins till they are married.

Akila goes in search of Aziza, Vashti’s boyfriend who had moved to a new city.
He revealed that him and Vashti never consummated their relationship as Vashti made him profess to wait till their wedding night before they had sex. So who got Vashti pregnant?

And there was Fadil; Akila’s boyfriend who was too grief-stricken for a third party. Akila was shocked at how Fadil wept at the news of Vashti’s demease because he never really seemed to connect with Vashti and this was even a concern for Akila, knowing she wanted for her two favorite people to be besties but fadil didn’t seem to warm up to Vashti like Akila wanted.

It was later discovered that Vashti was pregnant for fadil. Akila was heartbroken. Her best friend had betrayed her, they had shared everything and this betrayal questioned every single memory of Vashti that she had, it soiled it. She was torn. 

Akila has to see a psychologist to get her life back on track from the nightmares that she kept having inclusive was her unspeakable mood swings. The string office became her safe place.

Akila deals with betrayed, heartbreak and the pain of losing her best friend and boyfriend. Will her innocent mind pull through all of this? As her innocence has been bruised and her trust squeezed to no remains?
