“What distinguishes being an arena fighter from being a free man in a world of war?”

It has been 200 years since Roxa has given himself into human hands and henceforth lived his life as a servant first and later on as a slave. Before that, he had travelled and experienced the world for 300 years. But whenever he discovered new wonders of the world, they sank into the chaos of the eternal war between humans and Yokai. Tormented by the never-ending war, he hoped for a worthy battle in the coliseum of the human city of Floris, in which he can lose his life.

He has held on to these thoughts for 200 years, but one day a human girl appears in front of his cell and changes his life.
