No, they didn't tell me to marry any man.
Heck it would have been a good decision.

They told me to leave my place as my father's daughter. For another of my father's child. Born of his mistress. My mom consented to it. 
For her I wasn't good enough. I would never be. 

They needed a prim and proper daughter for the society.
I wasn't prim. Neither was I proper. She hated me for what she called fierce..
