Humanity advanced far enough with technology that they started to conquer the stars. Unfortunately their greed became their downfall, and the galaxy is now littered with ruins left by the humans who have quite mysteriously vanished from the galaxy almost as fast as they had conquered their own star system after they made the technological breakthrough. Now, after several thousand years the machines that were made as a failsafe to restart the human race again have started operating. The beings who were made were not humans though. They had strange powers that the humans had called magic, and they had extra features that made them look like a mix of animals and humans. The galaxy is now filled with beings who are trying to learn how and why they were made, but will they like what they learn about their ancestors from the ruins and the remaining ancient databases inside?
