Florentine Lovelace adored her father like the citizens of her father's city. They called him 'il buon sindaco', or the good mayor. Her father treated his people like family, but he was corrupted. One day, she walked in on her father's dealings. Then, she uncovers the mystery of her mother's death, and confronts her father. Begrudgingly, he agrees to her departure for America on one condition. She must accept an internship with the Lupo family that her father deals with before she leaves, but mysterious stories of werewolves surround the family.
