The year is 2055.

The world has gone to waste. The generation before us created the biggest chain of historical events. They started with riots before they turned into a civil war which soon turned into World War 3. The war caught some unwanted attention from deep space. Several "deep space" species came to Earth and started an even nastier war. This one ended in the human species endangerment. My friends and I are humans who were preserved during the war. We are humanities last hope. 

Poor decision really.
