Layla Setherin is a mix-blooded vampire princess who hasn’t seen her elder brother, Takeshi, for eight years. She was nine years old when her parents were killed in a fire by vampire hunters. Her mother a cold blooded vampire and her father a warm blooded vampire. 

  Layla meets Prince Ren and wonders why he never wears a shirt, of course, she never asks him why. Takeshi, tries to find Layla a husband by having a ball for her in honor of her return. She meets Prince Raven Cross and they talk about their crests, their family crests that royals and nobles have that represents their family. 

  Ren and Raven don’t get along right away and Raven seemingly threatens Ren, Layla isn’t sure. Layla decides that if none of the princes at the ball suit her she will choose Ren to be her husband.
